After ten years of being the front man of his Trio, Piotr Wyleżoł has decided to invite some other artists to collaborate with. He has chosen a saxophonist Adam Pierończyk and a guitarist David Doruzka, together they have performed on many prestigious festivals such as: Jazz Baltica, Leverkusen Jazz Tage, Polish Festival in London. The music performed by the Quintet is mostly composed by Piotr Wyleżoł, but also by David Doruzka and Adam Pierończyk. The Album Piotr Wyleżoł Quintet live has been recorded In Polish Radio Katowice during the concert of the Quintet. |

Piotr Wyleżoł - piano One of the premiere polish jazz pianists. Graduate of the Jazz Faculty of the Academy of Music in Katowice. While his academic education, he has gained many prestigious awards such as: the best instrumentalist on the festival “Autumn at the banks of Odra”, The Key to Career during Gorzów Jazz Celebrations and also he has been awarded on The International Festival of Jazz Improvisation in Katowice and Jazz Juniors in Cracow. He has performed on many festivals for instance: „Jazz Baltica”, „Leverkusen Jazz Tage”, „Jazz Jamboree” and in many concert halls among which are : The Royal Albert Hall in London, „Olympia” in Paris, in numerous countries all over the world. From the very beginning of his musical career he has been the leader of many groups, up to day he has recorded five complimentary albums, and many more recorded in collaboration with other artists among them: Janusz Muniak, Tomasz Szukalski, Jarosław Śmietana, Ewa Bem, Tomasz Stańko, Billy Hart.
Apart from his career as a performer since 2008 he is also giving jazz piano classes in the Academy of Music in Cracow. |

Adam Pierończyk - saxophon
Outstanding jazz saxophonist, has been awarded many times : Hope of Polish Jazz, twice nominated for Fryderyk Award (1997,1998 in category The Best Jazz Artist).He was accredited one of the most influential polish musicians of XXI century in Gazeta Wyborcza’s plebiscite. He was in collaboration with: G. Thomas, G. Osby, S. Rivers, A. Shepp, B. McFerrin, T. Stańko, T. Curson, A. Cox, J. Calderazzo, E. Schuller. |

David Doruzka - guitar
Exquisite Czech jazz guitarist. In 1995 he was granted the title of The Talent of the Year by the Czech Jazz Society. He has been studying in prestigious Berklee Collage in Boston. His album “Silently Dawning” was hailed the best jazz/blues album in Czech Republic in 2009. |

Krzysztof Dziedzic - perkusja
One of the leading polish jazz drumer. For several times he was laureate of Jazz Juniors in Cracow. During the festival Jazz nad Odrą ’97 he was granted the individual award. The first jazz band he became member of was Piotr Wojtasik Quintet, and then Adam Pierończyk Trio. He was in collaboratio with: M. Urbaniak, Z. Namysłowski, T. Szukalski, W. Karolak, J. Śmietana, D. Murray, M. Donato, J. Gress, E. Schuller, S. Logan i A. Cox. |

Adam Kowalewski - double bass
Graduate of Jazz Faculty /double bass/ of the Academy of Music in Katowice, where currently he gives classes. He was in collaboration with: J. Muniak, J. Ptaszyn Wróblewski, T. Szukalski, T. Stańsko, L. Możdżer, A. Pierończyk, J. Śmietana. Występował również u boku takich międzynarodowyh gwiazd jak B. Maupin, E. Henderson, G. Bartz, J. Abercrombie, J. Purcell, K. Mahpgany, S. McCraven, J. Gross, S. Hamilton, D. Jackson, D. Castellano, K. Krog, A. Mandorff, W. Puschnig, D. Friedman, T. Otenel, R. Jones. |
